Pixie Lott
Last summer I was fortunate enough to be able to spend a week in London with 3 good friends of mine.
A lot of crazy happenings took place, but most of the fun took place at The Wireless Festival.
The Wireless Festival is what you can imagine as a mini woodstock.
A bunch of artists from all over come to perform for the first week of July in London.
I saw a bunch of performances that included Kid Cudi, Flo Rida, Q Tip, N Dubz, and even Kanye.
There was one artist who I remember specifically. I never got to see perform but I was able to meet.
My friend Harry had been mocking this girls music video all day, trying to perfect her "clapping" scene in her newly released music video "Mama Do". Pixie Lott was an upcoming artist on the UK charts.
Of course we just so happen to run into this girl and Monica and I decided that we wanted to go over and say hello.
Harry tagged along, and as we approached her we told her that we saw her vid, liked her music, blah blah blah.
She was really nice, and was really happy to see that we were Americans (that made one of them).
Anyways I checked out more of her stuff and fell in love with it. She's very talented and down to earth. I'm really glad that I was able to meet her before immediately liking her stuff, because now I know I'm not feeding into some rude celebrity's palm.
She's not very famous in the states, but it's only a matter of time.
It's nice to be able to hear young music if you know what I mean. Before a celebrity becomes big, you get to hear the beginning of their journey. What they first came from. And I got to see that with Pixie.
I suggest you all check her out on itunes.
