Scottie

Yes, I am one of Kid Cudi's biggest fans, therefore I know his life.
I got ahold of his first mixtape "A Kid Named Cudi" around April of 08.
Lets just say it was love at first sound. This was literally the soundtrack to my life (( if you know what I mean ))
As I got more of his mixtapes I began to realize how much I actually loved not just his music, but rap music itself.

Being the incredibly fortunate person I am, I've been able to attend several of his concerts.
He also took 5 small seconds of his time to give me dap at a club in London. ( not a big deal :) )
Although this was something he would never remember, it was something I'll never forget.
I've heard nothing but great things about his persona and being able to see some of his daily thoughts on twitter allowed me to gain more respect for him.
You can tell he's not one of those artists that's necessarily doing what he's doing to get all the girls & all the cash.
((although it doesn't hurt)) I was stunned when I found out that he had kicked out all of the groupies in this club where he was making an appearance. That's just not something you see everyday.
He's doing what he does because he's so passionate about what he loves, and clearly he wants to share it.
Through his music he's given us a taste of how a small town kid from Ohio journeyed his way to success.

For the longest time I would play his jams wherever and whenever given the opportunity, and it shocked me when people would say "Whose Kid Cudi?"
It breaks my heart when people can't see true talent right before their eyes. If you are a Kanye fan you MUST have respect for Cudi. Without Cudi there wouldn't be the prime of Kanye's latest album "808s & Heartbreak".
I mean he did write a few of his songs... Robocop, Heartless, Paranoid, and Welcome to the Heartbreak... nbd I suppose.

Not only do I admire Cudi for his musical talent, but for his fashion sense as well.
I'm not gonna say that he started the whole "Skinny jeans with the Nike kicks, Graphic T & the Fitted with the Ray Bans" look but damn he sure does know how to wear it. I love that colorful look and a man that loves his kicks.
With previous employment at American Apparel and Bape he's got that appreciation for fashion & retail, not like those celebs that just have people pick shit out for them.
I've spotted him on several occasions rocking some BBC & Ice Cream reppin my man P. Wills
((don't even get me started on him that's a whole other blog entry))

So if you aren't familiar with Kid Cudi I suggest you get schooled.... real quick.
From my experience he's an all around amazing guy, and I can't wait to meet him.
If fate ever led you to my blog, THANK YOU... you are a true inspiration!
