Man Up Boys

Ok ok ok, so this seems that this is not just my issue.

A very good handful of my friends are complaining about guys texting them.

I'm not talking about booty calls, or too much texting, I'm talking about the conversation itself.

Tell me this boys...Why the hell would you text anyone, have a great ongoing conversation, and then just stop in the middle?

What the eff is this trend? I can name countless times of when a boy has IMed me and/or texted me, carried a great convo and then just stopped in the middle of it. What is that supposed to mean?

a. Is it because it's late at night and you fell asleep?

b. Do you get easily distracted and just walk away from your phone?

c. Does a great conversation bore you?

d. Do you not have time to respond?

e. Or do you have an attention problem so you just start conversations to get yourself going, then ditch to boost your ego?

Obviously there are tons of excuses that a boy can come up with. For the girl on the other side of the line, the results to this may vary as well.

a. Generally the girl will get frustrated but wont do anything about it

b. She'll say something about it and then look like a clinger provided he gives her some lame excuse

c. Her desire to talk to you will lessen

d. She wont converse with you at all (my personal selection)

Some personal advice for the boys:

- Learn how to finish a conversation, even if its just saying "I gotta run, peace" or "This convo is over..." ...better forward than not at all. (It really doesn't make you look cool, or desirable, in fact you just come off as a tool)

- If you're too busy save yourself for later ... quit wasting their time and yours.

- And last but not least quit acting like a boy, if you aren't interested in carrying a conversation MAN the eff up! Seriously, you're better off ignoring the girl after the first text, not in the middle of it. Plus not everyone has unlimited minutes... (sprint's always tryin to play games if you feel me on that one) it will save not only your time, but my money.
